Pastor Kurt & Tammy Harman
Pastor Kurt Harman and his wife Tammy are native Houstonians and grew up in the North Side of Houston. They graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1977. They have been married since 1980 and have one daughter Paula, who Tammy home-schooled and later went on to graduate from Texas A& M University.
Kurt and Tammy were members of Fairfield Baptist church for almost 18 years where they served as Sunday school teachers for various grades and Tammy served on the women’s ministry team as well as the worship team.
Kurt and Tammy have served side by side in the “Open Gym” ministry in North Houston since 1992 and are very excited about being a part of “The Church at Northside”, a community-centered church, which will love and serve the people in practical ways.
Associate Pastor Chris & Rebecca Spencer
Chris and Rebecca were born and raised on the north side of Houston, Texas. Rebecca grew up in the suburbs and Chris grew up in the neighborhood, where this ministry is located. Jesus saved us both in our late teens and we have served Him ever since.
When The Church at Northside started to form, they decided to join on in full-time ministry. Chris currently serves as the Associate Pastor for the church, partnering with Kurt to oversee and handle whatever needs may arise. Rebecca partners with Tammy in the oversight of certain aspects of service in the ministry, especially the women’s ministry.
